Family ConstellationsFamily Constellations are an ancient healing tradition out of the tribes of Africa. In this work we bring people together to explore and even reenact our lineages with an intention towards healing the family soul and thus freeing ourselves to live happier more joyous lives. Bert Hellinger, the founder of this work as it is now practiced, was a missionary heading down to Africa to spread Catholicism, Dr. Hellinger spent much time with the Zulu tribes learning their language, rituals and ways. It seems that what he learned there led him to leave the priesthood, and devote his time to spreading the ancient healing ways he learned from the Zulus. In a way, it is almost like they converted him.
Dr. Hellinger returned to his native Germany and began creating a healing modality ~ Family Constellations. (Family Constellations are much like psycho drama, though the participants "representatives" use an intuitive process to guide the healing, whereas in psycho drama the process is scripted by the facilitator). The spread of Family Constellations in Germany and elsewhere in Europe has been profound. While Family Constellations are not as widely known here in the U.S. that is changing and more and more trainings are happening here all the time. In this workshop we bring together community with an intention of supporting one another in our healing and recognizing our wholeness. In this workshop we assume two roles, one as a "representative" and one as a "focus client." While these roles are different in their intensity and power, they are both profound and, in themselves, healing. Constellations are powerful for healing, or helping to heal, a wide variety of issues and challenges. From the deeper life challenges such as depression Bi-Polar disorder, phobias, anxiety, to more day to day obstacles such as relationship challenges and financial issues.
